 The Ironman Mont Tremblant Recon Relay was a HUGE success, thanks to the 11 teams that worked together to collaboratively come through with the 140.6! It really was about the fun, and team members mentioned that what they appreciated the most was being "put on a team" with people they didn't know. So fun. Thanks everyone- I pulled names out of a hat for the IM swag, and you will get yours at the October Drive Thru Swag Snag- see below. These challenges we have done throughout the season really were "Our Season" as we held eachother accountable for the fun.

Here's the latest from your BSTT Board: 

  •  We will be offering all members a special renewal rate- 50% off! Renew before 12/31/2020 for the 2021 season, and pay only $42.50! 
  • We will be working closely with our sponsors, Cycle Life/QT2/Out Rival Racing to bring ALL MEMBERS a base training plan, included with your 2021 BSTT Membership. This plan is another way to support members, aligning what we do for weekly training according to ability and race length. More details will be shared in the September Newsletter, including how the base plan will work, as well as options for upgrades. 
  • The end of year "party": We can all agree that 2020 was a year we will never forget, unlike any other... so, this year's end of season non-season party will be a "combo" of a few different events: A Virtual Awards Party, a Zoom Group Ride and a Drive Thru Swag Snag. BOOM. More details to follow in the September Newsletter, but all three events will happen in the last weeks of October! 
Board of Directors - Bay State Triathlon Team
The State of the Team:
  • The Board: I have to thank the board from the bottom of my heart. They have been amazing. Throughout this season, we have met monthly, and made some big decisions and implemented big changes for the team. It is my job to report to you the following open positions:
    • Training Coordinator 
    • Membership Coordinator 
    • Webmaster 
    • Volunteer Coordinator 
    • Please email me at franciscojacqueline3@gmail.com if you are interested in any of these positions, and let me know which one you are interested in, by September 15th.
  • The Budget: The "state of the budget" is kicking COVID's ass. With all things being considered, our budget has never seen better days. With that being said, we are in good shape to have one hell of year when we can get back to being us and doing what we enjoy. The pandemic cancelled all of our races and gatherings, but it won't cancel our spirit. We shall be back next year, better, stronger and richer!  We are looking like we will end the year with @$15,000 in our account. 
  • The Kits: We got our BSTT Wattie Ink kits!  They are so awesome, and I wanted to let you know that we will request to reopen the store next early spring.  Didn't get that racy one piece speed suit?  You will have a chance!
  • The Sponsors: Sponsors will continue through 2021 as we did not have a race season.  We will be in contact with them in January to communicate this, and will cordially invite sponsors the option to donate for 2021 if they so choose to, and remind them that this continues to be a tax deduction for their company, and has benefits for all involved.

Good afternoon, BSTTies and a very happy Friday to you all! It's been an AMAZING season. YOU all have really stepped up your game- I think this has been an EPIC year for volunteering, competing, challenging yourselves with racing and training.. You all have SHOWN UP this season, and that's awesome. We have two races left on the Championship Race Series, and I cannot believe that we are a week away from SEPTEMBER!!!! Next up is PilgrimMan - this will be a great race- if you have not signed up yet, and are thinking you want to do a rolling sprint or later season half, this race is for you. Not racing and want to check it out? Volunteer! After that, we have Buzzard's Bay Tri - this is going to be the end of season race for us, so I will be there with Johnnie and Patty grillin and chillin after the race. Long Time, No BLOG! June, 2023

  Well, HELLO!   We have been super busy since we last blogged.. Between cabin fever, training day, ride out loud, and the start of the race season, we have been going NON- STOP.  Can you believe it's almost JULY?  Yikes! In the Blog this Month: 2023 Championship Race Series Falmouth Tri- This amazing FLAT and FAST tri is July 9th- if you want in, you need to sign up in the next 48 hours!  Get in, and have a blast! Nantucket Tri- If you like the vibe of the Cohasset Tri, and are looking for a vacation/race thing, sig up for Nantucket! Whaling City- We will be showing up in full force for this one- stay tuned for team info on how BSTT will try their BEST to win the #1 team award this year! Sea to Summit- This small scale adventure race will be on July 22nd, and we have a group of Bay Staters who will be competing.. it's more like "how we are spending the day"- so fun, self supported, what a challenge! Sharon Tri- We will be at Sharon on August 13th- not sure...

July 2022- Race Season is on FIRE!

Happy 4th of July, BSTTies!   Hope you are all getting out there with friends and family today to celebrate our fight for independence over 240 years ago!  This team has fought its way back from a pandemic, and we are now 132 members strong!  Each and every one of you are what make this team great, so go out there, do your best, train your best, and race your best!   In the news this month: The "Another Training Day" was a great success.  Thank you's go out to all who made it happen, especially Zach, who planned three bike loops so all athletes would finish at the same time.. like clockwork! We have Falmouth Tri coming up on July 10th.  This is such a great race!  Fast, fun and the run is super flat!  Get in if you haven't yet! We also have Whaling City Tri coming up on July 17th!  I can't say enough about this race!  Fast, flat and a BIG competition between Tri Teams.. stay tuned as Robin Ireland, the membership director will let you kn...
