February- That's a WRAP!
As we head into March, I want to thank you all for HOLDING ON TO SANITY! Next month will mark one year that we have been in this life altering thing we call Pandemic Living.. and I feel like being with you all (however far, or near/virtual or in person, socially distanced) has really kept me going. I hope to see things opening up soon, safely, and my fingers and toes are crossed that we can get back to doing what we set out to do (training together, racing, and having fun) soon!
The Winter Warrior Challenge will close on Sunday, February 28th.. as of today, the leaders were Sue Clavin and Tom Fleck.. Here is what they will win if they "cross the finish first" in terms of hours of activities on Strava for January and February:
Thanks to all of you who participated! We had almost half of the team on this Strava Club. Good work.
The March Thing...
So, because I know you loooooooove to have things to keep you on your toes, active and accountable, we are planning a March THING. What's this March Thing, you ask???
So, how does this work?
- You register: Here is the LINK. You can also register using your phone and the QR code above. You can register all month long- deadline is March 31.
- This is for BSTT, exclusively.
- You do either the sprint or olympic distance- must be done using a Garmin or other device. You can use "multi-sport" or just do each sport separately. As long as you keep track your transition times, and include them in your overall time.
- You post your results to this page, any time between March 1-31: LINK FOR RESULTS
- You complete the Du as a Du.. no cheating! That means you run, bike and run as you would in a race. "Can I do the run one day and the bike and run the next?" Nope.
- Your runs MUST be outdoors, and start and finish approximately in the same place. This makes for a nice, easy course (out and back or a loop of the exact distance). "Can I run a point to point on a nice downhill?" Nope.
- Your bike can be indoors or out. Up to you. If outdoors, same thing applies here as stated in the run rule above. Loop or out and back. "Can I use Zwift?" Yup.
- There are NO WINNING TIMES HERE, so PLEASE, HAVE FUN WITH THIS... It's just to get you in the swing of things. Oh, and get a cool tee to rock in the spring from Keezer Sportswear.
- I want to see ALLLLLLLL OF YOU do this! No EXCUSES!!!
Check out Keezer Sportswear for any of your printing business. The company is top knotch, and delivers amazing quality and design.
All who enter get a t-shirt, and the logo will look something like what's in the image above.
Got WATTIE KIT?
The BSTT Wattie Store is OPEN for BUSINESS!
We have a two week window to order. Make sure you check the size chart and be kind to yourselves.. we have not competed in a year, so make sure, if you are in doubt, size UP! I usually take a small in stuff from other kit companies, and with Wattie, I am a straight medium!
Here is the link to the WATTIE BSTT STORE. DEADLINE TO ORDER IS SUNDAY MARCH 14th.
And did you know that we ride "virtually" together on Saturday mornings at 8 on Zwift? Email Amy Carlson for more info if you are interested! acarlson7777@gmail.com
Finally, a few people have asked for the discount page, so here it is!
Have a wonderful weekend!
-Jackie
